Calibration head ache #2

Postby DH53 » Mon Jul 06, 2020 4:03 pm

DaVinci 1.0A. I seem to have intermittent problems specifically with calibration measurement #1 that makes calibration very difficult. For instance I just cleaned the nozzle with a pin and used a wire brush to clean the outside of the nozzle and the measuring pin. I used the wire brush to clean the 3 corners of the print bed. Then I wiped down those 3 corners of the print bed with denatured alcohol. I run the calibration and I measure:
188, 212, 220

touch nothing, just run the calibration routine several times and I get:
264, 215, 221
285, 210, 223
227, 212, 225

I am trying to get 225 +/- 10 I think for good calibration, but as you can see the point #1 is varying by about 100 without touching anything.

How can I calibrate to +/- 10 when the first number has more noise than that in the measurement??

Thank you very much for any help!
