Fix for paper jam issue

I'm sorry if this topic has been posted before, but i've not found anything when doing a search, i have removed the offending piece of paper that brought up the error message, but now the error message wont go away and i'm at a loss as to how to deal with it. The experts at geek squad tech support suggested me to replace the cartridge. It did fixed the issue but it is a temporary fix, I'm looking forward to some working solution.
