Using Slic3r

Has anyone had any success using Slic3r to define their prints?

If so, what settings have you used?

How did you figure out what they should be?

I have a Jr. Pro, and have been able to run a couple of prints from Slic3r, but the shell is not solid on them.
My experience is all DaVinci Jr. Pro. 1.0

It helps to describe what a not solid shell is. There's a print quality troubleshooting guide that is very visual and can give some insight in to what you need to do. You can search for it by typing "print quality troubleshooting guide".

Every printer is different. There are guides that can help but even if I was able to give you a set of settings, it might not work based on your print.

Unfortunately there is no bullet proof method. Xyz does a good job of getting you introduced to 3d printing by fine tuning the settings for their filament but once you venture outside of that, you need to look at forums specific to the slicers and filament your using.
