My 10 y/o son received a DaVinciMiniW for Christmas, in his right hand is his first successful print. He wanted to make a name sign for his science teacher who also runs the Robotics club. He initially designed the print with supports and it was printed upright. It was so small, he couldn't get the supports removed with the tools we purchased. So, he redesigned it in 2 parts so it would be bigger and printed it flat so there was no need for supports and it came out great. The finished print is 9" long x 3" tall x 1/2" thick. He gave it to his teacher today and his teacher was pretty impressed... he was proud of himself and looks forward to designing more things... as soon as his mom finds print tape for him!
